Otherwise though, it's because the new Wii U games, even though I'm sure many will flop, are more different, and hence more interesting for me to talk about. Apart from a few games in that list, we all know exactly what to expect from them. Some of them will be pretty good, certainly. I'm sure I'll probably talk about Luigi's Mansion or Paper Mario when they come out in particular. However, until I actually play them the smaller more subtle differences in design aren't apparent, and thus there isn't much to say other that "yup, that's another one".

That's where most of my disappointment with this years E3 came from, really. It's not that these games aren't good or in some cases even exciting or interesting, but there weren't many reveals of new innovative game play. The heavy saturation of sequels means that it's mostly just waiting for those games we knew were coming to come.Genericidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07929124600659608382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-674272312159376241.post-53652791579949455692012-06-14T15:21:41.216-05:002012-06-14T15:21:41.216-05:00I find it interesting that you glossed over all th...I find it interesting that you glossed over all the games I'm looking forward to at the end of the post, but went into depth on all the Wii U games that I will not be playing. I find this proof that your opinions are wrong and that you are a bad person and so are your friends, random internet stranger.

One thing we can agree on is Watch Dogs looking like an interesting game, but I suspect for different reasons. Many are talking about interesting new mechanics that come about from combining a sandbox plus near limitless hacking. Don't get me wrong, I love both of these things, but they've all appeared in many different forms before. I suspect that combining the two will result in no more than the sum of it's parts, which isn't all that fantastic. The reason I look forward to the game is because of the same run of the mill excitement I get when the next summer blockbuster comes out. I want to experience something grand and very well put together with only a light dusting of things I haven't seen a million times. I suspect the game won't be groundbreaking.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09235581023322517125noreply@blogger.com
